Day 1: Nairobi-Amboseli

Amboseli national park famous for its big game and great scenic beauty whose entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro.

Leave Nairobi   drive south towards the Tanzania border through Maasai land. A picnic lunch will be served on the way. On arrival at Amboseli National Park, we check in at the camp/ lodge late afternoon game drive with very real chance of seeing lions, giraffes and elephants on the very first evening. Here you will Mount Kilimanjaro will provide a beautiful back-drop. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge

Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game.

The safari departs Nairobi in the morning by road and arriving Amboseli in time for lunch. You will be awakened to the sights and sounds of big game country and, if you are lucky, to a view of Kilimanjaro often unclouded in the early morning sky. In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and the rare Black Rhino, Amboseli is sought after by travelers in the know for its breathtaking scenery and easily approachable wildlife. Just after daybreak, you will venture into the crisp morning air in search of the great herds. Game drives are sure to reveal great wonders.

Day 2: Amboseli

After an early morning game drive return to your camp/ lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you proceed to view both the animals (the elephants, lions and cheetah) and the scenic beauty. You will have picnic lunches at the park proceed for an evening game drive to watch the glistening majestic snow cap of Kilimanjaro, at the evening you may have optional visit to the Maasai village to know their cultural setup. Dinner and overnight camp/lodge

Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi

Early morning game drive encounters big five e.g. Elephants, Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Maasai Giraffe and birdlife. Depart Amboseli for Nairobi with Lunch en-route arrive in the evening.

3 DAYS MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE, 3 DAYS MAASAI MARA SAFARIS.

Maasai Mara is known as one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves, situated in southwest Kenya and is part of the northern section of the Serengeti National Park. Famous for the abundance of the big cats, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress.    

There are many places to stay in and around the Maasai Mara. The Mara has several conservancies surrounding it that have restricted number of vehicles allowing a more private game viewing.

Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara.

Depart Nairobi in the morning for a journey south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Picnic lunch at Narok. Arrive Mara for late afternoon game viewing enroute. Early evening game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film 'Out of Africa' was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park

Day 2: Maasai Mara Full day.

Full day in the park   in search of the Big Five.  Meals and overnight at campsite. (Optional visit the Masai Village in the afternoon or to see the animal.)

The Great Wildebeest Migration is one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World”.

No where in the world is there a movement of animals as immense as the wildebeest migration; over two million animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during July through to October.

The migration has to cross the Mara River in the Maasai Mara where crocodiles will prey on them. This is one of the highlights as the animals try and cross the Mara River alive.

In the Maasai Mara they will be hunted, stalked, and run down by the larger carnivores. The Maasai Mara also has one of the largest densities of lion in the world and is no wonder this is the home of the BBC wildlife channels Big Cat Diary.

Day: 3 Masai Mara - Nairobi.

        Day 1.Nairobi - Samburu

Depart Nairobi and drive North past coffee plantations via MT. Kenya to Samburu National Park. Picnic lunch and game drive enroute. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/ camp.

Samburu Game Reserve is situated in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya's vast Northern Frontier District. The area is home to the Samburu tribe, pastoral relatives of the Masai. Samburu Reserve as a safari destination has rugged and dramatic landscape, the Owasso  river runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Game Reserve  and is home to crocodile and hippo with the many animals visiting to drink during the heat of the day. Samburu safari may offer sighting of buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and other plains game. Species of game unique to Samburu game reserve include the beisa oryx, the long necked Gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue shanked Somali ostrich

Day 2. Samburu

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast, Mid-morning game viewing, Afternoon game view in this  park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra gerenuk, beisa oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Meals and overnight at lodge/ camp.

Samburu National Reserve lies in the Northern part of Kenya. Count Telekis Companion Von Holnel, visited the area in the early 1860s and described it as teeming with game especially buffalos and rhinos. The Waso Nyiro became renowned early this century as “big game country” and attracted such famous hunters as Arthur Neumann who set up a camp on the site where Samburu lodge now stands.

Samburu National Reserve is one of the 56 protected areas in Kenya. It is famous North of the equator because of the richness of flora and fauna; it can be reached through Nairobi-Isiolo-Marsabit road and Maralal-Wamba-Isolo road. Lying on the flood plains and bottom land of Waso Nyiro drainage system in the Great Rift Valley. It rises to an altitude of 2785 ft above sea level and covers an area of 390 km2.Samburu National Reserve was established in 1948 as part of the enormous Marsabit National Reserve under the national park ordinance. Marsabit National Reserve was gazetted in 1961 and the Senior Game Warden of Samburu District Rodney Elliott suggested to the Samburu County Council that an area north of the river be set aside as a game reserve. It became a reality due to foresight of the County Council and generous assistance given by several individuals and foundations. In 1962 with the financial help from Elsa Trust, Samburu Game Reserve was formed. In January 1963 the Minister for Local Government recommended Samburu National Reserve to be administered by the African District Council of Samburu.

 Day 3. Samburu - Nairobi

Early morning game viewing in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya's giraffe species - the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. After breakfast proceeds to Nairobi with game drive enroute out of the Park. Picnic lunch enroute arriving Nairobi late afternoon.

Day 1. Nairobi - Masai Mara

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kikuyu farmlands to the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly to view the Great Rift Valley at the view point. Lunch at Narok where you have a walk around the Maasai Town then proceed to Maasai Mara which is Kenya's most celebrated game park, it offers the possibility of seeing "the big five" and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July and August of each year.. Arrive Mara late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Camp/lodge.

Day 2. Masai Mara (Full Day)

After breakfast proceed for a full day of game viewing at the Maasai Mara Reserve. Picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/lodge

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures

Day 3.Masai Mara (Full Day)

Another full day is spent in the Mara reserve.  This day you have an option of going to visit the Masai village to learn more about their culture. All meals and overnight at Camp/lodge.

4 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru takes one to Kenya's finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round. The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the Reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game Reserve. Centuries of close association with the wildlife has resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Masai people live in peace with one another. The first sight of this Park is breathtaking. There is nowhere else on earth to compare with this wildlife marvel. The combination of a gentle climate, scenic splendor and untold numbers of wildlife makes the Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya's most popular inland destination.

Times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular at Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park is a also dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation. Twenty seven percent (27%) of the park is composed of the Lake Nakuru waters. The Park was declared a rhino sanctuary in 1983. The Rhino stocking programmed which ensued received white rhinos from South Africa. Currently the sanctuary has approximately 45 black and 31 white rhinoceros.

DAY 1 NAIROBI/ MASAI MARA

After breakfast pick up from your hotel around 8.00am and depart Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a stop over at the Great Rift Valley view point. You arrive Masai mara late afternoon, early evening and proceed for a game drive dinner and Overnight at camp/Lodge.

DAY 3 Masai mara/L.Nakuru

Pre morning game drives and then after breakfast departs for Lake Nakuru which is one of the gem in the necklace of the Rift Valley Lakes often referred as the Pink Lake for it's great masses of pink flamingos.

drive enroute and Picnic lunch the proceed to lake Nakuru national Park which has  plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.. You are going to arrive Nakuru early evening dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

DAY 4 Day Lake Nakuru/Nairobi

After breakfast proceed for a game drive to Lake Nakuru which is world renowned for its masses of flamingoes and is often referred to as the "Pink Lake". Beside birds, it is possible to see small game, like Water Buck, Impala, Rhino and Buffalo in the gardens Surrounding. After lunch depart to Nairobi arriving around 4/5pm in the evening.
