Day 1 - 4: Kruger National Park
A pioneer style safari camp in the Kruger National Park, Plains Camp has 4 intimate tents and large viewing decks. This part of the trip combines comfortable accommodation and first class service with the rugged and thrilling prospect of walking in the African bush, tracking rhinos and other wildlife.
The first part of your safari adventure will be spent walking and sleeping under the stars. Rhino Walking Safaris conducts specially designed walking trails through a private concessionary area of the Kruger, with expert guides to help you track and learn about the large variety of animal species found in the Kruger area.
Day 4 – 7: Timbavati
Move from the massive Kruger to a smaller and more exclusive reserve, with Motswari. Motswari is intimate and romantic, perfect for couples and honeymooners. The camp is located in the Timbavati Game Reserve, a fantastic private reserve sharing a border with the Kruger. This allows unrestricted movement of game, making safaris exciting and unpredictable.
Timbavati hosts endangered white lions, adding an extra element of rarity to safaris here. 40 mammal species and 360 bird species will keep safari goers busy and entertained throughout visits to the Timbavati. This is the perfect intermediate stop on a safari holiday.
Day Day 7 – 10: Sabi Sand
Facing a large waterhole, Arathusa is a beautifully traditional, open-plan lodge that is perfect for watching for game from viewing decks. This luxury lodge is a great way to end your safari holiday in relaxed style, with a fantastic spa and outdoor boma dinners.
Daily game drives are also on offer here, and Sabi Sand is known as one of the top reserves in South Africa for fantastic wildlife viewing. Arathusa is located in prime bird-viewing country, so bird lovers will enjoy this area of the Sabi Sand. Also exciting is the fact that leopards are often sighted here, a great plus point for Arathusa, as leopards are the shyest of the Big 5 and the least spotted.
